Biography
Chris is a Shareholder in Martin Tate’s Memphis office, representing clients throughout Tennessee and Mississippi. His practice includes business and commercial disputes, civil litigation of various types, probate, estate, and trust administration and litigation, and estate planning. Before joining Martin Tate in 2019, Chris practiced with a mid-sized regional litigation firm in both Knoxville and Memphis. He has tried numerous cases to verdict in both bench and jury trials.
Chris is a native Memphian and graduated summa cum laude from the University of Tennessee at Martin with a bachelor’s degree in history. He obtained a Doctor of Jurisprudence degree from the University of Tennessee College of Law, where he was Publications Editor of the Tennessee Law Review and was recognized with the Editor-in-Chief’s award. He has achieved an AV Preeminent rating from Martindale-Hubbell. Chris was recently named a Fellow of the Memphis Bar Foundation.
Chris and his wife, Elizabeth, have three children. They attend Grace Evangelical Church. Away from the office, Chris enjoys spending time with his family and trying to break 80 on the golf course.
