Matthew P. Gabriel is licensed to practice in Tennessee and Arkansas and is admitted to the United States District Court for the Western and Middle Districts of Tennessee.
Matthew joined Martin, Tate, Morrow & Marston, P.C. as an associate in August 2010. Previously, he was a summer associate with the firm in 2009. Matthew received a B.B.A. in Human Resource Management from the University of Mississippi in 2006. He received his J.D., magna cum laude, from the University of Memphis Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law in 2010, graduating in the top five percent of his class.
While at the University of Memphis, Matthew was an Articles Editor on The University of Memphis Law Review and competed in two national moot court competitions: the Robert F. Wagner National Labor & Employment Law Moot Court Competition and the American Bar Association’s National Appellate Advocacy Competition. Matthew received the CALI Excellence for the Future Award in Torts I, Advanced Brief-Writing, and Federal Income Taxation, the Deans’ Award for Excellence for Best Appellate Brief, Fall 2008, and was a recipient of the Joseph Henry Shepherd Scholarship. During his third year, Matthew was awarded a Cecil C. Humphreys Fellowship, serving as Research Assistant to Director of Advocacy and Professor of Law Barbara Kritchevsky.
