Chris is a senior attorney in Martin Tate’s Memphis office, focusing on litigation throughout Tennessee and Mississippi. His practice is concentrated in business and commercial litigation, premises liability, trucking and transportation, product liability, and insurance coverage. Before joining Martin Tate in 2019, Chris practiced with a mid-sized regional litigation firm in both Knoxville and Memphis. He has tried numerous cases to verdict in both bench and jury trials.
Chris is a native Memphian and graduated summa cum laude from the University of Tennessee at Martin with a bachelor’s degree in history. He obtained a Doctor of Jurisprudence degree from the University of Tennessee College of Law, where he was Publications Editor of the Tennessee Law Review and was recognized with the Editor-in-Chief’s award. He has achieved an AV Preeminent rating from Martindale-Hubbell.
Away from the office, Chris serves on the board of Service Over Self, an urban home repair ministry in Memphis that transforms underserved neighborhoods and develops community leaders. He and his wife, Elizabeth, have three children. They attend Grace Evangelical Church.
